Each of the four Gospels give us a unique view of Jesus. The Book of Matthew was written for a Jewish audience. Mark seems intensely focused on communicating the story of Jesus to readers who aren’t overly familiar with Judaism. (No genealogies to read here…please move along:) The Book of Mark is a fast-paced narrative of action (notice the often used word “immediately”) that introduces Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as the One who comes in power and authority to preach the good news (aka gospel) of the Kingdom.
