  • Spiritual Disciplines / Meditate on Romans 10:17 - The words “listen” and “hear” are found more than 1500 times in the Bible. “Turn your ear to my words,” says the Lord (Proverbs 4:20). To really hear what God is saying, we must understand this is really an exercise of faith. So, as with any discipline, 1) prioritize time to spend listening to God. 2)Beware of anything that drowns out the “still small voice” of God - smart phones, our own thoughts, and other voices that echo the wisdom of this world. 3)This practice requires patience; “real listening comes only as the consequence of training oneself to wait on God”. 4) Respond appropriately. This is where we practice living out God’s Word in our daily life.
