Our Rich History

Faith Baptist Church was organized on December 10, 1975.  On January 18, 1976, the official church charter was signed.  We purchased a building at 13th and Chisum, remodeled and added an education wing.  On October 5, 1980 three acres of land were acquired at the corner of 20th and Grand where a sanctuary and education space were built and completed in 1982.  In December, 1999 the sanctuary and education facilities were renovated.  August, 2000 saw the completion of the ROC (Reach Out Center), kitchen and education space.  In 2001 three additional acres were purchased just east of the existing property for future growth.

God has richly blessed this ministry with faithful servanst over the years.  We have had three Pastors:

• Rev. J. D. Towles - December, 1975 - December, 1993
• Rev. Rick Brann - March, 1994 - March, 1997
• Rev. M. J. Elliott - May, 1997 to present

Faith Baptist Church was named because a group of God-fearing Christians stepped out on faith. Over the years we continue to step out by faith, and we always see God bless us richly.

As wonderful as our history has been, we look forward with great anticipation to what God is going to do with this ministry.  We have finished our new 34,000 square foot Education Building and are in the initial steps of planning our new auditorium.
